And what's next? A brief overview of the labor market in Ukraine.
While engaged in the development of national operators of trade and services, the company "Ukrainian Consult Group" encountered such a phenomenon as: a lease agreement was signed, repairs were made, equipment was brought in, and... the finished point of sale was not working for several months in a row. This phenomenon gave rise to the current state of the labor market, namely: the lack of workers. Moreover, we are talking not only about specialists, but also about unskilled workers. In this article, we want to talk about the biggest problem today for an active business in Ukraine.
For several years in a row, the labor market belongs to the employee, not the employer. The situation in which Ukraine found itself in the third year of a full-scale war only strengthened this tendency. No process automation can completely replace human hands. What is the main problem? Talking to many owners of various fields of business, one can follow one general opinion: the amount of salary no longer affects the interest of a potential employee. People want clear and understandable rules from the state, respect for the activities they perform, necessity and security, compliance with the Constitution and laws of Ukraine in this difficult time for everyone. Holding the economy is also resistance to the aggressor. Workers who officially work in these areas, paying taxes to the state, this is also a very important factor. We are talking not only about men of military age. Women of various professions, experiencing instability and insecurity, prefer to leave Ukraine and work abroad with very vague plans to return...
So what to do? In our opinion, business needs to encourage potential personnel even from the student ranks, creating conditions for potential employees, support in the last year of study, with further guaranteed employment. This requires even closer cooperation with specialized educational institutions. For current employees, provide the necessary social packages, increase wages, for top management to introduce direct interest depending on the results, creating an American model for high-level employees. The time "I'm the boss, you're a fool..." has passed, and the sooner we understand it, the better for everyone... The state, in our opinion, should act as a regulator with clear legislative rules, for the sake of preserving the real sector of the economy and preserving the number of taxpayers.
What will happen if this is not done? Gradual stagnation in the market, which will lead to a reduction in the share of Ukrainian business in Ukraine. Depression among the hired labor force that is still in Ukraine and does not plan to leave it. The arrival of a large number of foreign companies that will quickly fill the niche that has become vacant. The importation of foreign low-skilled workers who will bring great threats to the national identity in a few dozen years...
Despite all these difficulties, the company "Ukrainian Consult Group" believes that we will survive all these difficulties and continues to work and provide a full range of services for our esteemed customers!
